10 Quick Ways To Attract More Sales Leads
Here are 10 quick ways you can grow your business with effective promotional techniques.
- Ensure the messages you are advertising are consistent. Do not confuse your customers. I saw some adverts at the weekend, which were so confusing with mixed messages. Keep it simple, follow the Tesco approach.
- When was the last time you checked your business stationery? Is it up to date, are you missing out on placing adverts on all your documents. E.g letters, faxes, business cards, comp slips, emails, leaflets, etc. etc…
- Are you advertising your business on cars? Tax discs, window stickers and key rings are prime examples of cheap ways to advertise on vehicles.
- When was the last time you stood back and admired the look of your business? If you have any doubt then act now. Passing trade will probably have the same impression.
- When was the last time you cold called your own business? Who answered the phone, was it prompt, answered in a professional manner. So many businesses have untrained, unprofessional staff taking calls. First impressions are everything.
- Is your sales team fully trained? Again send in some cold callers and test whether your sales team are promoting your business in the manner you want it to be. Remove the old-fashioned car salesman approach.
- Businesses that want to attract passing trade can often look like car parks. Is your business actively promoting to passing trade using a mixture of banners, flags and professional looking signage. That is changed and kept updated on a regular basis?
- Do you have regular sales to clear old stock that are promoted effectively? Holding a one-day event each month or even each week can attract buyers that otherwise may not have visited.
- Do you have a structured referral programme in place? Ensure your customers are referring you to their friends and family by offering them something in exchange.
- Are you capturing leads on your website and then actively responding to them? Using a simple email capture and then sending them regular news, ensures you are building a relationship with your customers.
