Dazzling Black Printed Foamex Ideal for Advertising Displays

We’ve just finished testing printing onto black Foamex using our new UV Flat Bed printer and the results have been amazing. As you can see in the image the graphics are extremely strong and vivid and almost create a fluorescent look in parts, which are usually difficult to create.

The reason the graphics appear so strong is due to a white backup ink being applied just before the colour ink is added. We can also select parts of the black printed Foamex to show through as you can see in the image to create dazzling background effects. This allows advertisers to get really creative with their wall displays that should hopefully draw in more attention to their work.

As Foamex is a fairly low cost material, the cost to produce these displays is still great value. The added value they promote should outweigh any additional costs in the material. Printing onto black Foamex panels is ideal when you need a solid black background with striking full colour images. Rather than using white Foamex and printing the black background, the visual will appear stronger on the black Foamex using our unique white printing capabilities.

Printing white using digital and UV printers has only been around for the last few years but has really improved over the last 12 months. Printers are becoming faster and the quality is improving, which benefits the customer, as you get quicker deliveries and improved prices.

We see this product becoming popular in the exhibition and events industry and also in locations such as museums, where they use a lot of wall displays. Not all clients will be aware that their graphics can be improved by using black Foamex, so our team will look to advise in these cases.
