Recruiting Now Studio Manager Job, Elland near Halifax and Huddersfield

We are looking for an exceptional creative individual to manage our graphic design studio, working within a beautifully converted mill in Elland, West Yorkshire.

The successful candidate must be naturally talented and have the experience to grow and manage a team of designers. You will need to possess multidisciplinary skills and be able to support our web to print clients with their design requirements.

Key Responsibilities

– Lead the design studio managing and inspiring others.
– Creation of artwork for our range of printed and promotional products.
– Creative design including logos, branding, stationary and leaflets.
– Design of company promotional literature including catalogues, leaflets and mail shots.
– Clear communication with clients and taking briefs.
– Communicate clearly with our web team and be able to update new products & images
– Management of templates within our web 2 print systems

Skills and Competencies

– A BA degree in Graphic Design or similar
– Previous studio management experience
– First class knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
– Knowledge of CorelDRAW an advantage
– Experience of branding, typography and corporate identity
– Knowledge of print processes and setup
– A natural ability to communicate with clients
– Ability to up sell our design services creating additional revenue streams
– Ability to multi-task work load effectively

– Enjoy working in a creative environment as part of a team.
– Excellent attention to detail.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
